Christmas is coming…

No really, it is! Surprisingly fast at that (70 days, not that anyone’s counting). I’ve been on a Christmas knitting marathon for the past few weeks and I still have lots to do. I picked up a giant ball of really plasticky acrylic on the weekend at the Creativ Festival. Despite feeling terrible to knit with right now, it’ll soften up when I wash the FOs and you can’t really beat 3.50$ for 900+ yards! I needed something machine washable anyway because it’s being knit up into little hats for all of the kids in my neighbourhood back at home.

I’ve finished 2 so far and am working on the third! The first two are both the 18″ size, for J and N. The pattern is free here and is sized for newborn- adult. (Rav link)

I’d love to here how your Christmas knitting is going! Have you started? Do you have a crazy long list like me? Leave me a comment or a link below.

Linking up with KCCO and Yarn-Along as usual. Nicole is having a yarn giveaway in her KCCO post this week… go check it out!

  1. I have WAY too much on my Christmas knitting list and doubt I will ever get to it all! But, I can always save it for birthdays etc. 🙂

Those little hats are too sweet! What a sweet thing you are doing!

    • Oh, thank you! I always end up making a huge list and then having to prioritize so that I actually finish some of it!

      Have a great day!

You’re so good for already starting your christmas knitting! It looks great, too!

  3. […] The yarn is a giant ball of Red Heart Comfort, which I bought for 3.50$. I hate the way it feels but it should soften up, and I needed something machine washable with a big yardage to make a bunch of hats out of. […]
