WIP: Grey Honey Cowl

You might remember the last Honey Cowl I made back in the fall. I loved the pattern and the finished cowl, so when I saw Heather’s Grey version, I knew I had to make a smaller grey one as well!

The yarn is an acrylic that I’ve never used before, it’s called Craft Smart (I’m pretty sure it’s the Michael’s store brand). I had a gift card and it was on sale for less than 3$, so I figured it was worth trying out. So far, it’s actually been softer than I expected. Not as plasticky as Red Heart.

(See it on Ravelry here!)

  1. For 3$ I would try it too! Looks great 🙂
I just bought some grey as well as it’s the only color my guy want to wear…

  2. Love that gray… and such a pretty little stitch marker. Is that a mother of pearl bead? Happy crafting !:)

    • Hey Michelle! Thanks 🙂 I’m not sure about the stitch marker- my sister made a set for me for Christmas, so I will ask her next time I speak to her. Have a great day!

  3. Love the color and stitch definition you are getting with the yarn. Less then $3 seems like a great deal to me.

  4. I love the texture of the honey cowl! The gray you chose is very pretty!

  5. Wait, so the yarn was free? That is a screaming deal for a Honey Cowl. Nice work! Really it would’ve been more expensive not to buy — or something. Enjoy!

    • Haha, well, not technically free, but certainly very cheap! Since I payed for it with a gift card, no money out of my pocket technically, so I guess you could say it was free! I like your thinking 🙂

  6. The cowl looks great. The stitch definition of this yarn looks really nice. I hope you continue to enjoy it.
