Scenes of Summer

The yarn is Patons Kroy Socks in an unknown colourway. It’s from the Knit Traders’ Tent Sale and the bag was unmarked. Being knit into simple ribbed socks (pattern from Glenna) for when the weather gets a bit cooler. (Rav link).

Yes, that’s a hammock in my backyard. It’s kind of great.

This week feels like true summer. I hope you are all enjoying it as much as I am.

Linking up with KCCO, Yarn-Along, and WIP Wednesdays.

  1. Oooo. I wish I had a hammock. Or a backyard… πŸ˜€

  2. I bought lots of Kroy sock on sale a couple of years ago and used it for Christmas socks. It was great to work with and seems to wear real well. My daughter wants a hammock so bad!

    • That’s great to hear, Donna- I’ve never used it before but now I have a lot of it!
The hammock is so worth it.

  3. It does feel like summer! I love that sock yarn, blue is my color!

    • I love blue socks too! They go with everything!

  4. It is TRUE summer. My husband was just saying today that the weather was just perfect! Not sure of the name of that Kroy yarn, but I’m pretty sure I’ve knit something similar at one point or another.

    • I tried finding the colourway on Ravelry but I couldn’t pinpoint it since there are a few similar ones. I’m hoping it will be easier to tell once I have a sock done up.
      Enjoy the weather πŸ™‚

  5. Your summer scenes look pretty dreamy! I like the blue tones of the sock—looks a little like faded denim. And that hammock!

    • Thanks Liesl! One of the colourways that it could be, funnily enough, is called ‘denim’ or something of the sort.
I found your blog via Yarn-Along and I think it’s going to be one of my new favourites. Your photos are fantastic!
