This week…

Knitting :: Still working on my Springtime Boneyard (Rav link) and my Maeva Socks (Rav link). I’m much further into the shawl, and I’ve made it to the heel of the first sock. I’m struggling with the gusset decreases, though, so I need to set aside a bit of time to look carefully at the pattern and some of the notes on Ravelry.
Aren’t the little star stitch markers adorable? They’re from a set of stitch markers I won as a prize in the Ravellenics. The set is Doctor Who themed from Owl Print Panda on Etsy and I love them!

Reading :: Traplines by Eden Robinson. This is a rather sad short story collection that I’m reading for a Canadian Lit course. The writing in this is very good, it’s just a little darker than most of what I read.
Still making my way through The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I will eventually finish this and stop telling you about how much I’m enjoying it. I promise.

Drinking :: Coffee with homemade vanilla syrup. I love vanilla in coffee and tea, so I made up a batch of syrup like they use in coffee shops. It’s really simple… I can share the recipe later this week if there’s any interest?

Watching :: The Great British Sewing Bee. My friend G recommended this and even though I’ve only seen 2 episodes, I love it. It’s a show entirely about people making nice things. It makes me want to buy a sewing machine.

Just a reminder that in addition to the e-mail follow in the sidebar, you can also follow me on Bloglovin or follow my RSS for other feed readers!
Have a beautiful day!

Linking up with KCCO and Yarn-Along as usual.

  1. I think that is a great pattern on your socks. Are you knitting with a magic loop? I don’t know how to knit that way , but can use dpn’s. Love the stitch markers.

    • Thanks Tracey! That is magic loop… it’s got a bit of a learning curve but I love it now that I’ve got the hang of it. I rarely use DPNs anymore! Perhaps sometime I will write up a photo tutorial.
      Happy knitting πŸ™‚
