I actually finished these socks months ago (sometime in November), but since they were a gift for H around the same time, I haven’t had the chance to take photos of them until now! This pair is another from Tanis Lavallee’s Business Casual pattern, which I’ve made once before. I really love the cables on these socks and the pattern is a free download!

The yarn is Patons Kroy Sock, from a big bag of this colourway that I got from a sale last summer (that’s probably why the socks don’t quite match… different dyelots?). I’ve made a few pairs of socks out of this yarn for myself as well, and it’s a bit thicker than most sock yarns, which makes it quite robust.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend… I’ve completed 2 of my 4 finals so I’m almost done!

    • Thanks Brandy!
It’s one of my favourites 🙂

  2. Cool pattern and lovely colors!

    • Thanks! I really love this colourway too.
      Happy knitting 🙂

  3. Loving the look of these socks!
I had business casual in my queue for a long time and am really happy to know that it looks great in a non-solid yarn as well. :] I think the gradual color change really does the pattern a favor as it’s lets each diamond motif kind of have its time to shine.

    • Thanks Britney!
I’ve made them in both solids and non-solids and both seem to work really well, so long as the colour repeats are on the longer side.
      Happy knitting 🙂

  4. Those socks are AWESOME!! I love Kroy. I made so many pairs as gifts for other people out of that yarn but never kept any for myself. I love the diamond pattern too. It’s perfect with the color changes.

    • Thanks Donna!
I love my socks made out of Kroy because they are so sturdy! I do a lot of walking so I tend to wear through socks faster than most!
      Happy knitting 🙂

  5. Very nice gift socks and great pattern. I love giving handknit socks as gifts…they are always happily accepted. I also bought a ton of Kroy sock yarn on super sale a summer or two ago. It does work up fast since it is thicker than other sock yarns. I have even made some baby leggings out of it…holds up great to all the crawling.

    • Thanks Laura!
Baby leggings sound adorable! I bet they’d be really cute in some of the brighter colourways too.
      Happy knitting 🙂
