Sunset walks and yarn trucks.

Walking at sunset

New yarn from Purlin J's Roving Yarn Truck!

We’ve been taking the dogs for a walk later in the evenings recently as the days have been getting quite warm and humid. Aside from the overabundance of mosquitoes, walking in the evening has been pretty nice. Sunset creates such a pretty light- everything seems to glow.

We made a very quick stop at a local festival this weekend just as it was wrapping up. We happened to see as we were driving by that Purlin’ J’s Roving Yarn Co. – our very own local yarn truck! – was at the festival. I’ve been hoping to visit the truck since it opened but it just hasn’t worked out until now. I’m so glad we stopped, though – the shop and the yarn are beautiful and the owner is lovely. If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend you visit… the truck will be at the Kingston Artfest on Canada day weekend! I picked up a skein of Briggs and Little Lite ‘n’ Fancy Softspun in 103 Purple Pansy. I haven’t seen this yarn from Briggs and Little anywhere else, and all of the colours were gorgeous.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

  1. A yarn truck?! That is such a brilliant idea.

    • Right?! There’s one in California too, but this one is in my hometown and it’s so neat.
