I finished these mittens a few months ago but I am just getting to editing and uploading photos of them. I made them for my grampa for Christmas this year, and even finished them in time for him to open them on Christmas day! The pattern is by Tin Can Knits, and I ended up loving it way more than I expected- there’s something about the simplicity of this pattern that makes it really striking. The yarn was something I picked up at Romni earlier last year, and I’m really pleased with the way the tweed compliments the cables. I made the largest size and they fit perfectly. I’m already planning more of these mitts in other yarns and colours!

  1. This color is wonderful. I haven’t knitted w/a tweed yet.

Thanks Stefani! I love them but almost never knit with them- perhaps that should be one of my knitting goals for this year.

  2. Lovely mittens, the tweed indeed perfectly compliments the cables!

Beautiful tweedy yarn for this pattern, and the color is great too. Good job!
