Lately, I’ve been…

Knitting :: A new sock pattern in my sock yarn. This colour was one of the ones I introduced in the fall, but I’m realizing now that it’s quite spring-like too! I’m excited about this design – it’s going to have a cute little cable and lots of texture.

Reading :: I haven’t even started it yet, but I picked up The Happiness Equation by Neil Pasricha from the library since I just finished I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. This book feels a bit more preachy that his others, but I’m hoping to go see him give a talk at my library in a few months and I think he’ll be speaking about this book, so I thought I’d best read it.

Watching :: The Lady in the Van, which I saw in the theatre on the weekend. Maggie Smith is marvelous, as you’d expect, and the rest of the film was quite good. I didn’t love the double-narrator thing – I felt it just detracted from the rest of the movie.

Waiting :: For my Knit Picks order to arrive… I’ve ordered some yarn in this lovely grey colour (finnley heather) to make a spring sweater for myself. I’m going to use this pattern from Swoon Maine, which H got me as a Christmas gift.

What have you all been up to this week?

Linking up with KCCO and Yarn Along.

  1. that yarn is completely beautiful!! You are quite talented in the dyeing process. I do love to knit with indie yarns and I hope to one day have a chance to knit yours (when the budget allows…soon!).

I enjoyed reading angelou’s book immensely. I await to hear your review on the happiness book!
