Lately, I’ve been…

Knitting :: A shawl in Agrestal’s new laceweight base, a simple pi body with some planned lace edging. This yarn is 100% alpaca and so smooshy and I am enjoying every minute of knitting with it. I’m hoping to publish the pattern once I finish writing it up!

Reading :: Not a lot, unfortunately, but a few reference books here and there when I have a moment. I’m particularly enjoying Hidden Natural Histories : Herbs, which has a little section on each herb and its historic and contemporary uses. It’s a really beautifully laid out book too – lots of botanical drawings.

Just a quick post from me today as I’m writing in the morning before heading to work. What have you been up to this week? What are you knitting right now?

Linking up with KCCO and Yarn Along.

  1. Great book choices!! I have been doing more talking about gardening (and planting!) than reading and my knitting has taken a back seat as well! Hopefully, I will have the planting done this week (if the weather cooperates!) and reading and knitting can resume.

  2. Citizen Farmers looks really good! I am going to have to see if my library carries it.

  3. That yarn looks so delicate and soft. Interesting book – Grow Great Grub! I will have to show that one to my hubby. He will get a kick out of it.

  4. Such cozy photos! This pink yarn is really lovely!

  5. Beautiful photos! Your shawl is lovely.

  6. Your knitting looks gorgeous and I love the sound of that book too.

    Happy rest-of-week,

Happened upon your blog via the blog updates I have emailed to me and My Sister’s Knitter referencing your current blog. Love the colour of the yarn you are using and look forward to the pattern when you publish it. I too love reading, knitting and crochet and am inspired by the photography too. Am contemplating buying a good camera and getting sorted with my blogging, which I have been useless at. Keep inspiring us xxx
