Knitting :: My sunrise cardi, which I’ve almost finished! I just have one of the sleeve edgings and the collar left. The pattern is from Swoon Maine, which is such a beautiful book, and the yarn is Knit Picks palette.

Reading :: An Agatha Christie, always a perfect summer mystery – Peril at End House. I’ve also just started A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams, because I needed a hardcover book to read on transit on my way to work… rush hour is just too crazy for paperbacks.

What have you been knitting and reading this week?

Linking up with KCCO and Yarn-Along.

  1. I love the texture of your knit! I have Swoon. Still haven’t tackled any of the projects though.

  2. Beautiful photos! I have been working on the Kirsten Kapur Mystery Shawl and reading Redbreast by Jo Nesbo. I highly recommend both!

  3. You chose a wonderful color for your cardigan; is it top down? It bugs me when the project page doesn’t tell you construction details. I’m still knitting Christmas socks and after finishing a Cookie Jar KAL pair for myself, I’m knitting the Rose City Rollers pattern; hopefully I’ll be able to finish and block them in time for our trip. I’m reading a cozy mystery after finishing this lovely, Chinese historical fiction called “The Moon in the Palace” which was a winner read.

  4. Your sweater looks gorgeous; I love the texture! I just looked it up on Ravelry and was thrilled to see it has short sleeves. We recently moved to Hawaii, where we’ll spend the next three years, and I’ve been on the lookout for summer-ish knits.

I have yet to read a book by Agatha Christie. She’s always on my to-read list but somehow she never makes it to the top! Do you like the Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple series better?

  5. Lovely pattern on that – nice job!
