Lately, I’ve been…

Knitting :: My soft serve socks, using Mrs. Crosby Plays, which were the yarn and pattern in my first KnitCrate this month (I’ll be talking more about this in an upcoming post). Although the yarn isn’t necessarily something I’d have chosen for myself – it’s only 55% wool, the rest being nylon and viscose – the colour is very pretty, and it is knitting up nicely in the pattern.

Reading :: Still working my way through Ghana Must Go by Taiye Selasi, and also reading Hands Free Life by Rachel Macy Stafford, which was recommended to me. I’m enjoying it more than I expected, it’s not very preach-y, and the stories about the author’s life are well written. I’m hoping to have a bit more time to read this weekend and to finish both of these books, I’ve got a little stack of books from the library waiting for after these.

Happy Wednesday!

Linking up with KCCO and Yarn Along.

  1. Always a joy to look at your cozy photos!

  2. Your pictures are so beautiful … makes me want to sit down and start knitting that project. (What is it about pictures that make something look glamorous?) And I love the phrase… a little stack of books from the library waiting…
    Lovely all around!!

  3. such a cheerful springy color! I am itching to grab some green yarn 🙂
