Coming soon…

I’ve got two patterns being tested right now. Both remind me of summer and they would be perfect knits for fall as well. Light and airy. My goal is to release them on the 23rd of this month in time for the Ravellenic games. There amy even be a special coupon code for those of you who want to buy the patterns for your Ravellenic projects!

The patterns will be sold separately and as a set. The first pattern is a beret, called Aestas (summer in Latin) and the second is a fingerless mitt pattern, with two versions, called Solis (“of the sun”). (Rav link, Rav link)

Be sure to check back on the 23rd for the pattern release and a giveaway!

I made some cookies a few days ago and I really liked them. They are Homemade Oreos from Smitten Kitchen and the recipe is here. We delivered them to some new neighbours but I definitely kept some here! So good! I recently got the Martha Stewart cupcake book, so there should be a lot more baking around here!

Have a great weekend!

New free pattern: Coppe Beret

I’m releasing a new free pattern today! Coppe is a beret in worsted weight yarn and I’m really excited to finally have it available to everyone!

From the pattern description:

When I showed this hat to my little brother, he told me it looked like a spider’s web. Coppe is and ancient English word for spider, and is the root for the word cobweb. Coppe is a quick and easy beret out of worsted weight yarn. The easy stitches used in the pattern make this an idea pattern for someone learning to work in the round, or an ideal last-minute knit for a more experienced knitter.

You can see the pattern here on Ravelry or you can just download now! If you do make the hat, I’d love to see it! You can add pictures as a project on Ravelry or you can e-mail them to me at

I hope you all had a great long weekend (more about mine later)!

I’ll be linking up with Frontier Dreams tomorrow and Small Things on Wednesday.
